Susan graduated from The Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London training with two of Britain's most influential figures in theatre and film, Mike Leigh and Steven Berkoff.
In 1970 Susan performed with Liquid Theatre, one of London’s first experimental theatre companies, creating ground-breaking audience participatory theatre.
During the 70’ and 80’s Susan set up Glamour City Retail and Costume Hire. With shops in Chelsea and Battersea she sourced and supplied vintage costumes, accessories and artworks for major feature films, TV series and commercials.
Following two West End runs in the chorus of Shared Experience's sell-out 'Caucasian Chalk Circle', Susan joined the original chorus of La Boheme in 2009 for OperaUpClose - ‘the world’s longest continually running opera’. She performed throughout its two year journey from a fringe theatre pub in Kilburn to the Soho Theatre where it won the Olivier Award for Best New Opera.
Alongside acting, Susan is also a freelance Art Director and Art & Drama tutor.
